Jezebel is an album about the real thing. The passion so many of us have lost — or been coerced to forget. The inner flame we dim because the world is loud and scary and there are a thousand reasons to play it safe. This record is about not playing it safe. She tells us a story about grief and devotion living in the same breath. She sings to tending your fire even when no one is watching.
